Octasic
Inc. is a private fabless semiconductor
company founded in May 1998.
With headquarters in Montreal,
Canada, Octasic currently employs
over sixty people, mostly engineers
with expertise in voice packetization
and processing.
In its first three years of
operation, Octasic pursued a
design contract and licensing
business model, designing high-density
ATM and IP Voice over Packet
(VOP) products for leading semiconductor
vendors. These devices are commercially
available and are used in VoP
equipment manufactured by leading
telecommunications vendors in
the Americas, Europe, and Asia
who use technology designed
by Octasic to improve their
competitive edge in the marketplace.
Now a fabless semiconductor
vendor, Octasic is introducing
a third generation of state-of-the-art,
high-density silicon products
to the VoP communications network
equipment market directly under
the Octasic brand name. Previous
generations have proven Octasic
commercial viability as well
as the keen market demand for
our solutions. These products
have achieved significant market
penetration through global licensing
agreements and since 1998, Octasic
design and development methodologies
have received positive feedback
from the market. This success
and experience designing and
developing leading edge technologies
for the competitive communications
network equipment market puts
Octasic at the head of its class
?and Octasic customers ahead
of their competition.
Octasic designs, markets, and
supports best-in-class silicon
solutions for Voice over Packet
(VoP) communications equipment,
enabling unmatched performance,
scalability, and interoperability.
